Management Accountant
EMAPTA is looking for a Management Accountant to join our team.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Finance Team Leader in the Philippines, you will interact regularly and be included in team meetings with the broader Finance Team.
This Financial Accountant role will provide assistance to, and work collaboratively with the Corporate Finance Business Partner and the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, who are both based in the Adelaide Office. This role will also need to gather information from and provide financial insights to other non-finance Adelaide Office departments, such as Marketing and IT.
Key Responsibilities
· Preparation of month end calculations, journals and reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
· Preparation of payroll related calculations, journals and reconciliations (workers compensation, payroll tax, leave liabilities)
· Perform monthly P&L analysis and provide value-adding reporting to business stakeholders including Operations, Marketing and IT
· Performance of other month end duties including accruals
· Perform month end accounting for our Mobile application business
· Assist with the annual budget setting and quarterly re-forecast processes
· Assist with the annual insurance renewal
· Carry out credit checks in accordance with established policies for customers requesting credit
· Assist with the extraction of data (e.g. electricity, gas, fuel usage) for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting
· Assist with calculations and gathering data on performance of KPIs for the quarterly bonus for eligible Park employees
· Other ad hoc tasks as required
Desired Skills and experience
· Preferred Professional qualifications in Accounting
· Minimum 5 years’ experience (ideally some will have been for Australian companies)
· Strong understanding of debits and credits and Australian Accounting principles
· Intermediate to Advanced level of Microsoft excel proficiency
· Experienced in accounting software systems (SAP Business One desirable, but not essential)
· Highly organized with the ability to assess multiple concurrent demands within a dynamic environment and prioritise workload accordingly
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills
· Proactive problem solver
