Is responsible for handling products and interacting with customers to make sales. Their duties includes taking inventory of all the products and talking with customers about the types of products in display. They are also expected to maintain and arrange products in an aesthetically-pleasing manner to encourage customers to buy them.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs ordering and stocking of products.
• alert Manager as to items that are below par stock or products that needs to ordered.
• Label products with appropriate dates and prices.
• Manage product rotation to avoid damages or spoilages.
• Remove outdated and damaged products from shelves and storage areas.
• Assist in the preparation and placement of merchandising signage and display
• Maintain a well-organized and orderly store that aligns with the company’s image and sanitation standards
• Stock and display products as per merchandising standards.
• Keep the store shelves loaded with product all the times.
• Welcome and address customers in friendly and courteous manner.
• Manage high volume of customers in courteous manner.
• Respond to customer’s queries promptly and accurately.
• Transacts cashiering, collects payment by accepting cash or charge payments making sure that change are
accurately and correctly given to customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Over 2 years of experience as a deli staff or in a related position.
• Proficiency with POS systems and standard office software for accounting and inventory purposes.
• Basic math and computation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-centric approach.
• Attention to detail is essential for maintaining and stocking store displays to company standards.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to multitask and balance the needs of several customers at once is mandatory.
• A detailed understanding of products and have the ability to correctly answer customer questions is needed.
• Ability to work as a team and contribute to a smoothly flowing experience for all customers
• Friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to spend an extended period working in a standing position
