We are looking for an Australian experienced SENIOR ACCOUNTANT with a solid background (3+ Years) in Australian Accounting and Taxation. Candidates must be able to function with minimal supervision, supervise and mentor a junior accountants and bookkeepers and in particular focus on independent problem solving, and strengthening client relationships.
Job Summary:The Senior Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and taxation requirements and deliver associated quality, professional accounting outcomes. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of Australian taxation, bookkeeping, and admin procedures and will be an asset to the Accounting team.

e appropriatePreparation of income Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships, trust, and companiesFinancial reporting; Budgeting and Forecasting, Analysis and Reco
nciliationsPreparing Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Activity Statements (BAS/IAS)Liaising with Australian government departments and agencies on behalf of clientsProviding accounting services to all areas of the client business as necessaryPreparing Monthly/Annual statutory lodgementsBookkeepingSetting up and maintaining cloud apps - Xero, Receipt Bank/:, Square, DeputySupporting clients with queries re Tax, Accounting, Bookkeeping, Xero, other systemsPerform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior
Qualifications:
Xero Certified and have AU Payroll experienceMUST possess a Bachelor’s Degree in AccountancyAbility to handle basic and complex AU Tax co
ncepts - Div7A, FBT, etc will be highly regarded.have proven ability to supervise junior team and workflow.MUST have Australian Tax, Bookkeeping and general ledger experience requiredMUST have a Minimum of 3+ years experience in preparing Financial Statements, Tax Returns, and BAS Returns for Australian Accounting firmPrevious experience in a BPO (or similar) undertaking business services and tax for Australian SME clients is an advantage, but not required if you are a super-fast learner and have the attitude to apply your knowledge for the success of your clients, our team and business.MUST be willing to work AU shift hours (7am-3pm)Excellent verbal and written English skills.Will be required to work in our Eastwood City office for initial cultural induction and training.
