Job Description
EMAPTA is looking for a passionate, driven, and customer-focused AfterHours/Logistics Manager!The After Hours Manager leads a team within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) portfolio for BluJay Solutions. A successful candidate must generate results through the performance of his/her team. Effective performance goals must be connected to monthly projects and operational SOPs that the LaaS Logistics Managers will collaboratively create with the customer. As a member of the LaaS team, he/she will be an expert on the transportation industry including current market conditions. The ideal candidate must demonstrate he or she can build and maintain productive relationships with cross functional stakeholders, measure and drive improvements in service and cost metrics, and keep all stakeholders informed through reports and presentations.  Responsibilities Build trust as a transportation SME at all levels of the customer’s organization.Develop relationships with your team through regular one-on-one meetings.Provide future-oriented performance feedback to your team often.Delegate increasing responsibilities to key players for their growth.Run internal and external meetings including daily stand ups, weekly operations, and monthly project summaries.Measure performance against customer’s operational goals (or KPIs) including performance vs baseline, on-time performance, tender acceptance, etc.Recommend, implement, and execute strategies to improve on KPIs.Provide reporting such as rate impact analysis, root cause analysis, and performance reporting to support recommendations.Ensure customer retention and willingness to be a reference for growth opportunities by consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.Communicate clearly and regularly to carriers regarding performance and future opportunities for partnership.Drive continuous improvement through all areas of responsibility.Formalize continuous improvement through creation and rollout of SOPs.Interface with a team in the United States, provide coaching to the team as escalations occur. Qualifications5+ years of work experience in the transportation industry or supply chain management.Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Business or related field) or additional 4+ years relevant experience.Experience with supply chain software (BluJay’s portfolio suite or JDA, SAP, Oracle, Mercury Gate, Pinc, etc.).Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Customer facing and/or supplier management experience is preferred.Great interpersonal skills with ability to influence others without role power.Strong oral and written communication skills.Proven problem-solving ability, comfortable analyzing large data sets and presenting recommendations.Ability to read, interpret and explain general industry documentation.Capable of creating and delivering presentations to C-Suite customer executives.
