The Norwegian Shipowners' Association's Maritime Trainee Program is an 18-month program combining on-the-job learning through rotational assignments in Höegh Autoliners with an academic program consisting of five modules held at different locations across the globe.
What are we looking for?
We seek graduates from numerous programs who see a degree as just the beginning to develop relevant competencies in the maritime industry. Diverse perspectives, distinct points of view, and shared ambition are essential to succeed as a Maritime Trainee. The ideal candidates have completed a master’s degree in at least one of the following areas: technology, digitalisation, analytics, strategy, innovation, finance, marine engineering or naval architecture. Candidates with international experience, studying or working in different cultures are encouraged to apply.

You will be offered a permanent position with us from day one, moving into a suitable role in one of our offices once the trainee program has ended.

The remaining four were delivered during 2016.The New Horizon is the world’s largest PCTC with 14 decks, covering an area of 71 400 m² - the same area as 10 soccer fields - and a carrying capacity of 8 500 ceu. With a 375 tonne capacity stern ramp, 22 tonne capacity side ramp, 6.5 meter height on the main deck and five hoistable decks, this new design provides more operational flexibility. Enhanced flexibility, larger capacity and optimised hull and energy efficiency reduce the vessel’s environmental impact and ensure a better service to our customers.
