Transport Specialist

To provide consultation, guidance and problem solving expertise to ensure that a high-quality, standards-compliant business applications environment is developed and maintained. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive efficiencies in the support organization and support processes.Follows quality standards and policies relating to Transport Management systems.Liaises with staff responsible for the design and development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfill user requirements.Handle loading and unloading operationsInitiate cost efficiency measures in transportation operationsMaintain and manage all database relating to transportation activitiesDirect and review load plan for forwarders Develop delivery schedule and drop shipment strategies

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree on Supply Chain Management, transportation, business fieldMinimum of 2-3 years’ experience logistics management  Knowledge in Supply Chain ManagementKnowledge in Transport ManagementBasic to advanced knowledge in database management software – information management tool, such as Microsoft Access, that assists with the storage of data for reference and analysisBasic to advanced knowledge in spreadsheets – detailed profiles of financial or production activity, often composed and edited in Microsoft ExcelAdvanced knowledge Microsoft Excel Formula (Pivot Table, Vlookup and capable to analyze and validate excel reports)Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial informationAct sensibly to meet deadlines and commitments to clientsMust have the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of peopleResults-drivenAmenable to report to Balintawak, QC
