Job Description

about the position:

Primarily responsible for managing business operations tasks service delivery in the scope of Sea/Air Export/import documentation/Operation process. Focus on one or several items of below:

People managementWorkforce management and cost leadershipOperation standardization and optimizationDrive improvement either from process changes or automationProblem solvingFunctionally lead part of department management tasks and coordination tasks etc.

Key Tasks

Lead respective sub-process team / manage employees along people leadership standardsMonitoring and organization of respective sub-process activities in line with Hellmann standards / SOPKnowledge of sub-process / trade-lane / customer specifics (e.g. SOPs)Review daily process, provide improvement idea and implement changesContinuously review business processes with business partner. Define and implement improvement actions in conjunction with Department manager to improve quality, timeliness and productivityResolution of issues on operational level, address critical issues and offer solutions to optimize whole process.Drive service-oriented cultureSupport direct reports in personal and career developmentInterface with business partners / internal stakeholdersHandling of documentation / Operation process for Sea/Air Export/importDraft SOP, Process flow chart and keep all documents up to dateAccept tasks above and beyond those directly related to your position for the benefit of the RCC and its staff membersOther tasks assigned by direct line manager

Educational Background / Work Experience

Education: College or aboveWork experience in international logistics or freight forwarding apprenticeship10 years of experience, 3 years relevant professional in operationLeadership experience: 4 years aboveInternational working experience preferred

Language Skills

Fluent in English (written and spoken)Other languages (written and spoken) beneficialLogical communication

Computer Literacy

Microsoft Office 365 Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others), expert of Excel and PowerPoint preferredCargoWise One experience preferredPower BI experience preferred

Decision making authority

Decision authority as delegated by the direct manager in accordance with Hellmann regulations
