ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:Leading the legal review of Arcadis digital solutions.Providing advice and support on the areas of information technology (IT) and intellectual property (IP) at all stages during the review, negotiation and management of contracts from initiation to closure.Working closely and proactively with GSSC Legal Lead Counsel, other legal counsels within Arcadis, and IT team and other Operational Directors to monitor and provide contract management support to project contracts (with a focus on technology and IP risks). This includes but is not limited to Client and/or supplier agreements, license agreements etc. as well as the required agreements within Arcadis as for example Intercompany agreements required for specific projects.Proactively contributing to and providing best practices in IT and IP contract management leadership to Arcadis core Legal Team working on the field of Technology and IP as well as business.Supporting the set-up, administration and close-out of major projects to ensure best project outcomes.Developing with existing Legal Team and GSSC Legal lead Counsel effective contract management systems, procedures and tools to support the business on this field.Promoting and upskilling other Legal Counsels within Arcadis as well as Arcadis project managers in identification and mitigation of legal and commercial risks, negotiation skills and similar contract management tools.Collaborating with the other enabling functions with colleagues in the wider Arcadis business as appropriate.Collaborating with colleagues in the Arcadis Legal, Compliance, and Privacy team and providing training and insights into IT and IP matters as and when required.Developing strategies to identify, manage and mitigate (via training and other means) high risk IT and IP contracts and/or services including providing audit and trends analysis reports to Arcadis business on project performance and risks. Carry out lessons learned on relevant projects and feed learning back into the business via training and other means.Working effectively with Arcadis enabling functions and operations leadership to ensure consistency in contract management processes and awareness.Undertaking audits and preparing contract performance and risk management reports for the relevant Arcadis market and/or regionally.Engaging in (and satisfying applicable) legal Continuing Professional Development (CPD); performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by the GSSC Lead Legal Counsel, Global Legal Operation Director, and Global General Counsel.Qualifications, skills & experienceA member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.At least five (5) years of relevant work experience in the areas of innovation, including technology law and intellectual property law (international exposure an advantage) ideally in both a reputable law firm and as an in-house lawyer.Contract and performance/risk management experience (in construction industry valued and an advantage).Preferably knowledge of, and experience with information security and data (incl. personal data) aspects as well as other commercial agreements.Has an eye for both company interests and legal principles, combined with high integrity standards.Has a global and international mindset and experienced and interested in international work (experience under different jurisdictions would be beneficial).Has an entrepreneurial spirit and inventiveness, coupled with exceptional levels of adaptability.Has a capacity to balance speed and risk, whilst exercising sound judgment and commercial acumen.Possesses the ability to thrive in a context full of complex and multifaceted challenges, which require multidisciplinary collaboration, robust relationships and personal tenacity to resolve.Has a capacity to transcend geographic, interpersonal or technical boundaries, by showing up as a leader who is consistently credible, authentic and inclusive.Has a desire to accelerate their professional and personal growth, at an unprecedented rate.Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
