JOB SUMMARY:
THE EHS SPECIALIST manages the Environmental, Health and Safety risks in conjunction with EHS Manager to ensure conformance with legal and other requirements while achieving EHS continuous improvement.
Internal reporting of EHS performance; Communication of national, provincial, and local regulatory requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors, audits and e
valuates compliance of FILINVEST-wide with all applicable laws and regulations, DOLE/BWC directives, and requirements or other standards which FILINVEST voluntarily subscribes.Supports the EHS manager to maintain EHS Programs to sustain and demo
nstrate EHS co
ntinuous improvement.Interphases with industry organization and government agencies to stay current with natio
nal and local regulations.Works with EHS manager to prepare, submit and publish required reports in compliance with regulatory agencies in order to ensure timely submittals.Coordinates specific Health & Safety projects as needed, such as machine guarding, industrial hygiene etc.Assists EHS Manager to complete EHS Task list on time related to project expansions. This includes support to Management of Change deployment, training, and permitting requirements.Provides assistance to all Operations as regards the administration and enforcement of FILINVEST’s policies, guidelines, and regulations on environment, safety and health and, to ensure adherence to these norms the imposition of sanctions, disciplinary actions and corrective measures to ensure against the recurrence of non-compliance that may result to damage or loss of life or property, or the serious deterioration of the environment.Participates in the development and implementation of all EHS audit result tracking and reporting until completion of each audit item.Co
nducts routine and follow-up EHS inspections of FILINVEST sites.Co
nsolidates and analyzes FILINVEST-wide EHS reports for trends; makes recommendations in the development of corrective action plans.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as maybe assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Safety Practitio
nerLicensed EngineerWith at least 5-year work experience Work assignment: EDSA - Mandaluyo
ngPossessing technical skills such as:Thorough understanding of fire protection systems, sewage treatment plant process and EHS Management systemAble to effectively communicate with peers and superiors· Understand mechanical and electrical plans
