Functional Overview of the role:
The main function of the position of Technical Surveillance- Live CCTV Monitoring or LSC guard is to provide property monitoring via cameras and, if necessary, intervene to warn off trespassers and potential thieves, and contact police. LSC guards will review any events that trigger our AI security systems at customer properties. If necessary, you will intervene on the threat via 2-way audio or siren, and/or contact emergency services and the customer via phone. Our system is designed to predict, prevent, and protect customer homes and businesses from crime by identifying threats and addressing them.
Responsibilities:
• Successfully absorb specialized training, specifically designed around our own unique brand of security.
• Using our technology, you will monitor live events over cameras, decide whether intervention is necessary and intervene if needed. Interventions may require speaking to people through the camera, calling emergency services, triggering a siren, or calling the property owner.
• document the details of any intervention in our customer service application.
• Provide feedback on guard procedures and Deep Sentinel systems to assist in identifying critical issues and improving our capability to serve our customers.
Qualifications:
• Proficient in relevant computer applications: web browsing applications, email, instant messaging, etc...
• Fluent in spoken and written American English; clear and unaccented speaking voice.
• Type 35 WPM minimum.
• Ability to communicate clearly under stressful situations. Calling 911 in an emergency requires calmness and clarity of thought!
• Be comfortable using your voice! You will need to communicate to customers courteously, 911 clearly and concisely, and suspects firmly and confidently!
• Be able to work on various shifts and work overtime when required.
• We are looking for people who are curious by nature and willing to intervene and investigate situations without hesitation. When in doubt, guards should be comfortable conversing with subjects on the camera and firmly asking questions to determine if that person should be at that location.
• Ability to speak authoritatively to subjects over the camera, directing them to stop what they are doing and/or leave the property.
• Ability to stay focused during the shift. A few seconds of inattention can result in missing a crime in progress.
• Previous experience with monitoring CCTV systems that included the ability to intervene via speaker can be helpful but our guards must also be able to assess a constant stream of videos from ever-changing locations.
• Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor's/College Degree , any field.
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Security/Armed Forces/Protective Services or equivalent.
