Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The P&C Officer will be in-charge of the acquisition, management, and cultivation of partners necessary for the team to achieve its annual roadmap. Part of this would be coordinating across W&L Teams and other stakeholders to prepare all the necessary information for proposals, reports, agreements, and other pertinent documents. He/She/They will be working together with the Senior Partnership Officer and reporting directly to the Partnership and Communications Manager. Aside from developing resources, there will be opportunities for the PCO to also create communication materials and manage the social media accounts of Water and Life. Overall, the PCO is also expected to participate actively in the development of campaigns, roadmaps, and other strategic initiatives of the department. TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:based in Makati with occasional visits to Cavite, the Partnership and Communications Officer will be under the supervision of the Partnership and Communications Manager. The PCO role is a great opportunity to work for an international organization on a variety of fundraising streams and develop communications activities to achieve the P&C roadmap and secure resources for Water and Life.Partnership/Fundraising:- Implement the Partnership and Communications Strategy- Write partnership proposals especially grants for international funding agencies and foundations- Proactively identify new partners and continuously expand the prospect pipe- Handle meetings and negotiations with potential and existing partners - Cultivate the relationship with potential and existing partners- Coordinate and complete technical and narrative reports for international funding agencies and foundations - Maintain efficient KPI monitoring of the partnership contractsCommunication:- Preparation of decks - Gathering data for the communication materials- Contribute in writing the newsletter- Contribute content and support in managing the social media platformsOther related tasks may be asked by the Partnership and Communications Manager depending on the needs of the organization as well as the growth plan of the officer. REQUIREMENTS: Education: ‐ Preferably has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or other Social Science courses ‐ 3-5 years of experience working in an NGO ‐ Experienced and skilled in coordinating and writing reports for international funding agencies and organizations ‐ Experienced in technical grant writing ‐ Can manage interdepartmental communication and external relationships ‐ Optional, but preferred: knowledgeable and skilled on monitoring and evaluation Skills: ‐ High English proficiency and attention to details ‐ High technical writing skills and can also be an effective storyteller ‐ Good interpersonal skills ‐ Skilled in understanding data ‐ Analytical, organized, and rigorous ‐ Good in negotiation and diplomacy Human qualities: Dynamic and resourceful ‐ Autonomous ‐ Strategic thinker ‐ Challenge-oriented ‐ Team player ‐ Open-minded ‐ People-centered ‐ Creative ‐ Flexible ‐ Respectful ‐ Consistent and fair ‐ High level of integrity
Tubig Pag Asa(TPA) is a local water small-scale operator with a social concern focusing on access to current water for people living in depressed urban neighborhoods of the Philippines. TPA builds-up sustainable networks, supplies families with water and collects the payments, installs fire-hydrants in the middle of the shantytowns. Its goal is to lower the cost of water as well as offering an access to current water. TPA staff includes 6 qualified permanent staff members. The team covers the fields of competence necessary for successful development and management of water networks in urban depressed areas.Water & Life Philippines(W&L Phils) is a Filipino non-profit organization which gives support to TPA, organizes trainings on health, environment and public sanitation for the local population and works on empowerment of the communities. W&L Phils’ aim is to sustain the development of the communities in which TPA already works, to support and ease running water distribution and maximize its associated benefits for the communities. W&L Phils’ staff includes 1 qualified permanent staff member who covers the fields of competence necessary for contribution to communities training and empowerment.W&L Phils is networking with the French NGO Eau et Vie (E&V), which also conducts such projects in Bangladesh.
