SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
Training : 4 Hours of Relevant Training
Experience : 1 Year of Relevant Experience
Eligibility : Registered Social Worker
Job Functions:
Ø Conducts interviews, home visits, case counseling, case managements conferences;
Ø Gathers collateral information;
Ø Handles Court related cases;
Ø Accomplishes social case study reports of clients;
Ø Attends hearings and testifies in court;
Ø Coordinates network with NGAs, lGUs, NGOs, Gos and private individuals on recruitment of trainees and sponsorship for training needs.
Ø Manages/refers WEDC cases;
Ø Network with the industrial sector (factory, shops, department stores, etc.) for possible absorption of graduates in the labor force.
Ø Prepares/submits project proposal, case studies and other reports;
Ø Refers neglected, abandoned, abused and exploited children to institutions and for foster care
Ø Perform other related task.
On Case Management:
Ø Conduct Social Case Study/Social Adjustment evaluation and Diagnosis.
Ø Conduct Individual and Group Counseling
Ø Formulate Treatment plan
Ø Initiate a rehabilitation team meeting
Ø Implement the treatment plan
Ø Initiate the conduct of social case conference covering the dynamics of the client concerned.
Ø Prepare reports on the termination of the case.
