JOB SCOPE:

This job directly reports to the Merchandising General Manager and is responsible for the implementation and coordination of all programs, initiatives, concerns of the Merchandising department for each specific region. This acts as the local buyer who is responsible for knowing the region’s specific wants and needs as well as finds ways to ensure and continually improve stock availability, assortment, pricing, and promotions. This also acts as the Senior Department Head overseeing the Department Heads in each store in every region, to ensure Operational Excellence in that specific department.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Facilitates implementation of all programs, promotions and initiatives initiated by the Merchandising department in HQ. 

2. Ensures the overall planning and uniformity of merchandise display, promotions and highlights, stock availability planning with the merchandising/buying department as well as overall guidance to the respective department heads.  

3. Monitors and Guides the performance of the Department Heads particularly in terms of display, stock refilling and on – shelf availability, stock buffering, basic visual merchandising, as well as reviews basic policies and processes in inventory monitoring, BO monitoring, merchandiser monitoring, approval requests for equipment use, and other operational tasks;  

4. Regularly visits competitors in the region to be updated with their pricing, assortment, availability and promotional schemes to make sure Merchandising is not just at par but should be better than competitor’s holistically. 

5. Monitors the daily and monthly performance of each store on assigned BU to ensure Target Sales and Gross Profit are hit and Target inventory level per branch is achieved. 

6. Suggests localized programs and promotions that are fit to the market of the region, to the merchandising team.  

7. Coordinates with the buying/merchandising department for sale events, mechanics of promotions and highlights as well as possible markdowns or delisting of items and any other concerns.  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:  

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related business courses 

Relevant Work Experience: 

Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience and with at least 2 years Managerial role in Merchandising in retail industry
