By joining us as a Team Leader, Accounts Payable you will join a group of high-performing, dynamic, and customer-focused accounting, and finance team that supports intercompany payable transactions which includes invoice processing, issue resolution of invoices, reports and reconciliation, intercompany netting payments selection, and internal and external audit support. You will be managing the daily operations of assigned team and assisting Supervisors and Operations Manager in improving team productivity and efficiency by influencing, motivating and guiding direst reports to their optimum performance. In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to leverage your accounting proficiency skills in providing excellent financial service to Emerson as a member of the Global Financial Services Manila organization.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Ensures full implementation of process development projects.Trains new hires and ensures that they have sufficient knowledge and skills before performing their work alone/independently.Generates reports based on team deliverables and present to management and counterpartsEscalates specific issues and provides recommendation to customers to address themAssists direct reports in resolution of escalations on the area of specific support.Identifies problems, analyzes trends and implements corrective and preventive actions using quality toolsEnsures the Service Level Agreements are on target.Leads goal-setting review to ensure challenging and stretched goals and assignments for the team in support of the overall business

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any Accounting-related degree7 years of relevant experience in General Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Accounts Payable, Audit or PayrollWorking knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standard Board regulation.Practical knowledge of enterprise resource planning system (e.g. Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.)Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
