The Fashion Buyer/Product Officer generally handles single-product category and works closely with all groups involved in the sourcing, development, production and delivery of all merchandise sold in our stores; works hand in hand with our vendors to ensure that every piece of a collection is delivered in-full and on-time.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Negotiates price and delivery timelines with vendorsPrepares Price Docs and POs for approvalMonitors progress of all orders in all key stages (from product development to delivery) using the PDSR or via factory visitsalerts concerned departments whenever a PO is in danger of not meeting the target delivery date or if there are inconsistencies/ deviations from agreed plansIssues PDDRF for all date changes and recommends penalties, if applicableActs as the vendors’ point person in GABC for the entire order process, including product developmentQUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of Clothing Technology, Fashion Design and Merchandising, or other related courses..Knowledge in costing and basic garment productionGood analytical skills and with a keen eye to details.
