MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
Ensures that merchandising standards for all merchandise in the store are met and maintained.
See to it that all new items get into the floor on a timely manner and ensures proper handling of products to avoid
shrinkage.
Ascertain that proper merchandise stock, pricing and code dates are properly communicated with the Buyers.
Ascertain that as a Duty Manager, opening & closing procedures are strictly complied with and met maximum
efficiency.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plans and directs merchandise moves / placement.
2. Ensures proper display and cleanliness of area in accordance to set standards and procedures.
3. Conducts splinter meetings with supervisors and staff and ensures regular floor walk with them.
4. Prepares weekly work schedules of supervisors and staff.
5. Provides training to all staff in the department.
6. Motivates staff to peak efficiency and productivity and at the same time maintains a harmonious and pleasant
working atmosphere.
7. Analyses work methods and distribution to eliminate idle time and maximize employee's productivity and capacity.
8. Checks daily Receiving Summary and review Run Book to determine how to merchandise each category and
verifies appointment versus order dates.
9. Monitors FIFO System for coded merchandise.
10. Check forklift checklist & pallet jack maintenance.
11. Review zero report sales, sales ranking, low stock, overstock, top 50/100 & containers to be unloaded.
12. Directs and oversees the entire warehouse operations during the assigned shift schedule.
13. Plans objectives and activities ahead and conceives new creative ideas and techniques.
14. Visualizes and anticipate new problems and develop practical solutions.
15. Alters activities to the proper course of action to meet the changing demands of new situations.
16. Makes sound and prompt decisions and accepts responsibility for decisions.
17. Defines and arranges activities into logical and practical assignments to attain the desired objectives.
Assigns appropriate responsibilities to subordinates with authority to develop and execute their designated objectives.
18. Produces work that is comprehensive in scope and complete in detail and that is free from mistake or error.
19. Sees ti it that plans are effectively carried out, maintains an awareness of their current status and maintains
full mastery of the department's operations.
