JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for delivering category targets on sales, gross margin, and other income while maintaining the right inventory stores, buying the proper merchandise at the right price, quantity, and terms, analyzing concessionaires and item off-take, and recommending programs to improve business performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Merchandise Assortment
Buys proper merchandise at the right price, quantity, and terms.
Manages and analyzes stock levels and order points.
Monitors and analyzes merchandise and supplier performance in all stores and recommends items/supplies for deletion.
Sources and develops new local and international suppliers (outright and concessionaire) to ensure category that merchandise assortment is updated with local and international trends.
Inventory Management
Supervises the disposal of ageing items and damaged merchandise.
Monitors and controls the markdown and price breaks.
Monitors the movement of the merchandise.
Merchandise evaluation
evaluates new items and new suppliers for approval of Merchandising Manager.
Negotiates with suppliers for better terms and discounts.
Operations
Coordinates with store operations regarding product display, promotions, and special deals to ensure that all merchandising plans are properly implemented.
Conducts store visits and competitive shopping.
Ensures that learning points and corrective measures are prepared to improve sales and margins performance of the category.
Assumes which goods will sell well in particular locations, and at what price customers are willing to pay.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, or any business-related course.
Must have at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
Must have 1-4 years of working experience in Merchandising, Purchasing, Brand Management, or equivalent.
Must be willing to perform field work.
Must possess intermediate negotiation skills, basic strategic planning skills, and intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be attentive to details and highly-organized.
Must be willing to work in Libis Quezon City.
