Summary:
The role will report to the GBS FP&A Lead and have the responsibility of working closely with the Operations FP&A Leads based in San Diego. This role is responsible for providing FP&A support for the Operations FP&A and Cost Accounting functions in a dynamic, challenging environment as an outstanding business partner. The role will also be responsible for supporting the financial forecasting and planning cycles and delivering analytics and productivity tools to help drive increasing operating efficiencies across the functions. In addition, it will have the responsibility of delivering monthly management reports and providing detailed explanations of variances between actuals, budget and forecasts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
FP&A Support:
· Responsible for the weekly Facilities Invoice AP Hold process to provide updates to accounting team
· Provide month-end reporting from Tableau during close process which includes daily line item detail report and QTD actual vs. forecast comparisons to Operations FP&A business partners each day during close days 2 – 8
· Provide support for freight analytics throughout the month and during month-end close
· Prepare and refresh monthly reporting packages that include service level details, key performance indicators, key business trends, actual vs budget variances, actual vs forecast variances and comprehensive explanations of key differences
· Support the monthly accounting close and research of expenses for assigned departments by working cross functionally with general and cost accounting
· Provide analysis and tracking of headcount and indirect expenses such as supplies, equipment, and consulting
· Update weekly headcount and OT tracking metrics by site (Mesa and San Diego)
· Build strong, collaborative relationships across US finance team and the Operations team to deliver strategic value from the Finance function
· Responsible for ensuring that departments understand and complies standard financial processes and controls
· Perform ad-hoc financial modeling, Reporting and Analysis as part of finance team for large projects and independently for smaller value projects
Cost Accounting Support:
· Run all ME close reporting (day 0 – day 6)
o Scheduling, Consolidating & Formatting
· Supports the monthly cost accounting close with day 1-3 standard JE’s & reconciliations
· Responsible for summarizing all KPI reporting (Mfg. Scrap, PPV, Absorption & Unit Completions)
· Review and close manufacturing work orders
· Assist in Cycle Count process review, adherence and reporting that supports our SOX inventory controls
· Assist in Price List management, update, and review
Required Qualifications:
Proficient in all Microsoft applications especially in Excel and Power Points (pivot tables, vlookup, filters).Technical ability to work with large data sets from multiple systems and make good business judgment when necessaryGood communication skills and comfortable working with -US ba

• Experience with a major ERP system (Oracle preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Hyperion and OracleIndustry experience in medical deviceEnjoys both working with people and computer systems and manipulation of detailed data
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting business and a minimum of 1-5 years of related experience.
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
