Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with a solid Finance background to manage our client’s retail B2B business. Our client is in the personal healthcare industry and supplies world-class products internationally.

We need someone who not just processes and enters transactions but also someone with a great analytical mind and attention to detail to make managerial decisions on behalf of the company and advise senior management of key issues and devise logical solutions to issues and problems as they arise.

This is a full time, contractual freelancer position while working at home. We are looking for someone with a strong accounting background (CPA a plus) and has experience with inventory management, B2B or working for a similar company or industry.

QUALIFICATIonSAt least 4 years proven professional experience as an Accountant or Finance managerial roleExperience and expertise in Inventory management and related digital systems and toolsExperience in B2B company or industry a big plusExcellent financial analytical skills and is proactiveKeen eye for detail and ability to spot problems, issues or inconsistencies before they become full-blown problemsAdvanced Excel experienceMust be able to do graveyard and overlap shifting as neededMust be VERY detail oriented and able to handle transactions dailyMust be organized and a self-starterCan work with minimal supervisionPro-active and has initiativeHas his/her own laptop or desktop computer, headphones, and a decent Internet connection capable of doing voice and video calls. (extra monitor for spreadsheets preferred)Has experience or has no problems working US hours (graveyard shift) JOB DEscriptIonBooking TransactionsManage and book transactions, POs, bills, etc.Manage and maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure that all inventory transaction details are recorded accurately in the accounting systemReviews, analyzes and investigates POs, bills and goods receipts for accuracy and approvals from a managerial perspective and acts accordinglyVerifying inventory counts and recording adjustments to inventory levels for items that have been used, damaged, or lostManage import / export and receivablesReporting, Analysis & SystemsInvolved in the maintenance and optimization of the inventory management and accounting systems and suggest improvements to achieve efficiency across all departments.Prepares regular reports, reconciliations, inventory and other reports to management as neededMonitoring inventory levels to ensure they are within acceptable rangesReporting on inventory levels, costs, and turnover rates to managementOversees key financial KPIs such as inventory, margin analyses, product scrap, etc.Calculating cost of goods sold by using methods such as average cost, FIFO, LIFO, or average market priceWorking RelationshipsWorks with other accounting staff to get accurate data and other records needed for operationReports directly to the the company controller and must be available for meetings and updates on the client’s timezoneWORK HOURSWork from home. Full-time, freelance, contractual position8 hours/day, 5 days a week1 hour break per dayWork Schedule: 3am to 12pm EasternAny overtime needs to be pre-approved by the clientUS Holidays are off and unpaidCompensation will be paid by the hour in USD but locally converted by the Service Provider (Big Ideas Philippines)ADDITIonAL NOTESAlthough you will be reporting directly to the designated manager from our client, you will also be reporting to and being supervised by Big Ideas Social Media Inc, who is the consultant and service provider of the US business.Big Ideas will be the one to provide your compensation and other administrative needs locally.You will be classified as “Self-Employed” when it concerns legality and taxation.Big Ideas (the agency) will deducted a 5% Expanded Withholding Tax as per PH and BIR laws.Contract is subject to an “evaluation period” and subject to contract renewal based on performance of the freelancer.Renewal or raise in compensation is subject to client discretion and is not guaranteed.
