ROLE
The HR Specialist supports the Assistant Manager - Compensation and Benefits in the employee services operations of the company. This includes the daily operational aspects of Compensation and Benefits such as timekeeping preparation, government, and statutory benefits compliance, management and implementation of the company’s group life insurance, health care, and other employee benefits. He/She is also responsible for providing day-to-day support in terms of planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of Human Resource Management activities related to compensation and employee benefits management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Will work with the Asst. Manager, Compensation, and Benefits in implementing compensation and benefits programs for the company to attract top talents in the industry, increase employee retention and reduce employee turnover.
○ Compensation / Salary Leveling - that will also be used for annual performance increases, promotions, etc.
○ Employee Benefits - HMO, Group Life, Accident Insurance, and other benefits suitable to the needs of the employees.
Attends and resolves any Compensation & Benefits issues/ challenges raised by employees and escalates to Asst. Manager, Compensation, and Benefits for complex cases covering the whole employee lifecycle - onboarding, movement, and offboarding.
○ onboarding - enrollment to the company’s payroll bank account, processing of government numbers, etc. related to pre-employment requirements.
○ Movement - preparation of Notice of Personnel Action (NOPA) for any employee movements - transfer, promotion, salary adjustments, merit increase.
○ Offboarding - processing of clearance, final pay, quit claims.
Ensures that salaries and employees' benefits are efficiently computed, taxes are duly deducted, and government-mandated benefits are timely remitted by closely collaborating with the HR Employee Services Team, Accounting, and government agencies.Prepares and reviews HR vendor billings eg. HMO, Group Life & Accident InsurancePrepares and submits accurate HR reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly in order to provide information to the immediate head.

QUALIFICATION
Graduate of a 4-year course like BS HRM, Psychology, or any Behavioral Science course.With at least 5 years of related work experience in a related industry of notable size, complexity, and significance.With at least 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience.Knowledgeable of all government regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and benefits.Knowledgeable of the compensation and benefits market trends in the industry.Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate dataVery Proficient in MS Excel.Knowledge of retail organization’s systems and processes is a plus.Experience managing several tasks and priorities and exercising independent workingExcellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Can start immediately.
