CashKO Insurance Brokerage (CIB) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RuralNet Inc., and a life & non-life insurance brokerage. CIB focuses on providing accessible and affordable microinsurance to the average Filipino through innovative digital and retail channels, expanding the scope of what insurance can do in the Philippines.
CIB operates through the CashKO platform, which is operated by RuralNet Inc. The CashKO platform connects various financial and retail partner institutions across the country with wide array of financial services – including insurance, remittances, bills payment, load and government documents.
CIB is the Philippines’ first fully digital insurance brokerage. Focusing on microinsurance, CIB works on innovative ways to bring insurance closer to the customer exactly when they need it, at an affordable price. By using data analytics and its proprietary platform and APIs, CIB customizes insurance offerings for every partner to cater specifically to their client base and to be easily cross-sold by their employees. CIB also works closely with insurers and its partner institutions to digitize the application and claims process, improving operational efficiency.
CIB enables a wide array of channels to cross-sell microinsurance. Primarily, CIB works with mid-size financial institutions like the Rural Banks, Thrift Banks, Cooperatives, and Microfinance Institutions with widespread reach across the Philippines. CIB also taps retail institutions such as pawnshops, pharmacies, and convenience stores with high customer traffic.Using the grassroots reach and thelarge existing client base of our partner institutions, we can effectively bundle and sell affordable insurance to the mass market at scale.
CIB leverages RuralNet’s network of partners, whichincludes more than 100 financial institutions with almost 500 branches nationwide and is expanding rapidly.
The significant achievement of the Arcenas Group of Companies is that all of the businesses were achieved despite having no loan exposure from any bank or financing company. Internally generated funds were reinvested into the companies to finance all of the expansion projects.Even today, only Handumanan Development Corporation has outstanding financial obligations with some commercial banks which were obtained to develop Paseo San Ramon.
