JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing the operation and support of all IT network, computer workstations, servers, technology services and communication facilities.  This is a hands-on working position accountable for supporting company-wide computing needs with a focus on high-availability and reliability of core systems. It requires someone who is proactive, responsive, communicative, hardworking and enjoys both hands-on and high level responsibility. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide strategic direction for multiple business and technical areas.Maintains the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by ensuring appropriate availability and reliability of IT infrastructure components. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.Develop, coordinate and administer complex technical systems and manage systems operations.Propose and manage the implementation of complex and significant programmatic change and establish policies as needed.Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and the data center.Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.Studies the adoption of emerging technologies to meet changing requirements, capabilities, and opportunities.Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, and information security and control structures.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.Manage and mentor IT staff supporting relevant infrastructure service activities.Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

3 years of professional experience equivalent to information technology Supervisor/ Manager3 years of working experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex IT infrastructure solutions.2 years of experience in one or more technology disciplinesExtensive knowledge of Project Implementation, Project Management, and Business Processes

EDUCATIonAL BACKGROUND:

Must be a graduate of BS Computer Science/Engineering or other related fields with technology as a core component.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSonAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have good management, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsMust have good interpersonal and communication skills Must have strong attention to detail and can manage multiple tasks effectivelyMust have advanced concepts in computer hardware and software systems; network administration, installation, computer troubleshooting, security, internet program, and other infrastructure and data communication devices Must be able to manage and provide hardware and software maintenance, training, consultation, and recommendation to ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resourcesMust have experience in installing and troubleshooting medium-sized distributed applications including LDAP servers, database servers, and mail serversMust also possess an inherently high standard of service quality consciousness and responsibility
