As a result of continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our global team, to provide specialist End User Computing, Desktop build/engineering, Provisioning, and Deployment capability to the team to support the business.

Enterprise Technology are responsible for providing technology services to the IQ-EQ regions including Core Infrastructure/Hosting, Network, End User Computing, and Identity. To support direction and growth, the team requires a breadth and depth of skills and experience to respond to the demands of a growing business whilst maintaining availability of our core systems

The candidate will need to possess a strong technical ability, as well as ability to work together with global and regional teams, primarily focussed on End user Computing, Lifecycle management, and Deployment technologies.

You will need to have experience working in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritise tasks that contribute to the delivery of project workstreams, BAU activities, and response to problems or issues. You will have the ability to work together with colleagues based all over the globe both within the Enterprise Technology team and across Workplace and End user support teams.

You will be tenacious and passionate, with the ability to take ownership of tasks whilst managing your time effectively, and prioritising these to meet deadlines. You will maintain excellent attention to detail and have a logical approach to solving problems under pressure and an active communicator on technical issues that affect client delivery.

In addition to your technical skillset, you will be experienced in executing standard changes in a controlled manner, following company procedures, and ensuring we maintain high standards across the team.

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, with specific responsibility for developing and maintaining the group SCCM environmentProvide 3rd level escalation supportProactively ensure the highest levels of application systems and infrastructure availabilityProactively analyse existing infrastructure and networks with a view to recommending performance and efficiency improvements and enhancementsInstall, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management toolsMonitor and test application and network performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixesLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionDesign, Test and Deploy Endpoints via Microsoft SCCM & Autopilotdocument the deployment of Autopilot within the IQ-EQ landscapeMaintain, install, upgrade, integrate and consolidate within an existing Microsoft Azure CloudPerform ongoing assessments, audits, and health checksProactively ensure the highest levels of security and availability of software packages, and Desktop imagesCreate, Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures and documentationMonitor security and system events and take appropriate action in case of incident including taking part in the off-hours monitoring rotation of the environmentProvide expertise and guidance in Microsoft Azure Cloud to colleaguesIdentify which latest trends and technologies might have fit with our environment and its requirements.Provide L3 support to the Global Service Desk and Regional End user support teamsLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionQualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subjectMinimum 3 years’ experience as System Engineer in development and management of a mission critical environment with 24/7/365 availability requirementsMicrosoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)Microsoft Azure Certified (Azure, Active Directory, Intune, Autopilot, OneDrive)ITIL v3 FoundationStrong expertise in SCCM and IntuneProven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows (AD, Exchange, O365, File-DFS, clustering) & Linux based environments.Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Citrix)Good security and networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP): Cisco, Fortinet, JuniperKnowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory EnvironmentsMicrosoft Endpoint Manager Experience including but not limited to Autopilot provisioning for AD Joined devicesMulti-country experience and demonstrates an ability to work in a multi-cultural, talented, and demanding team environment.Possess the skills and the personality to operate effectively in a very fast-paced complex global business with an in-depth knowledge of program managementExcellent communication skills in both written and oral form, with staff members, customers, suppliers, and the management team with the ability to make decisions, act and get resultsPassion, dynamism, and drivePersonal presence, integrity, and credibilityAbility to solve problems either independently or by utilising other members of the team where necessaryFully proficient spoken and written English, additional European languages will be an assetAdditional information
