Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Mechanical and structural detail modelling and model checking primarily for the oil & gas and mining industriesModelling and checking of structural, conveyor or platework 3D shop detail modelsInterpret architectural and engineering drawings to create computer generated 3D modellingChecking of fabrication drawing in line with General arrangement drawings and checklistWorking with laser scan data (point clouds) to allow for accurate modelling to existing structures.Produce shop drawings / IFC models / digital files to allow for automated steel processingAdherence to quality control systemsEfficient time managementContinual development of yours and your team members skills

 Experience and Skills Required:

Extensive experience with Bentley, Aveva (administration experience a bonus!) PDMS or E3D Piping SoftwareMinimum 5 years’ experience on Australian mining/materials handling projects (minimum 10 years for checkers)Comprehensive understanding of ASME / ANSI Specifications and Standards relating to Civil, Structural and MechanicalAdvanced skills in AutoCAD and Plant 3DProficient with Navisworks or similarProficient in a 3D CAD EnvironmentProficient with point cloud software such as Autodesk Recap, Pointerra, Pointfuse, VirtualPlant, Bloom or ClearEdgeDemonstrable experience in utilising surveys and 3D scans/point cloudsA positive, can-do attitudeSelf-motivated fast learnerExcellent problem-solving skillsEfficient time management skillsExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsAbility to work efficiently as part of a diverse international team as well as independentlyResults-driven with the drive to go above and beyond to achieve a successful result.
