Part-time School Travel Coordinator
The holder of this position provides support to the transportation, accommodation and other travel arrangements and services for BSM staff and students travelling for official school-approved events.
Specifically, amongst all other tasks, the School Travel Coordinator will:
1. Prepare travel arrangements by sourcing schedules and pricing for flights and transfers as required.
2. Provide advice and information to relevant staff requiring transportation arrangements for approved travel
3. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate travel policies.
4. Provide coordinated logistical support for individual and group travel
5. Seek and make appropriate accommodations bookings.
6. Align travel requirements with budget structures by monitoring budget allocations, expenditures and fund balances.
7. Coordinate with Human resources the relevant travel insurance, visas and taxes, and other legal requirements.
8. Register attendees at functions, sharing and tracking information and essential details of the event.
9. Confirm travel approvals.
10. Coordinate and communicate with parents, internal departments and external providers regarding school-approved travel-related events.
11. prompt reports where required and follow-up on financial claims.
12. Prepare quarterly travel reports for the Head of School.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Holder of a relevant degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, or a relevant field
2. Preferably at least 2 years of work experience in a similar or related field
3. Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems and e-travelling
4. Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
5. Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
6. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
7. Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
8. Work experience in a multi-cultural and/or academic environment is an advantage
Remuneration:
The pay and benefits package in Philippine peso will be tailored based on the candidate’s qualifications.
Hours:
20 hours per week; Monday to Friday from 8 am to 12 noon.
