Provides leadership for the project to develop a culture of safety in all aspects of the co
nstruction and commissio
ning activities.Ensures project compliance with all government and company safety regulations.Lead the overall safety activities for the co
nstruction site include all subcontractors. Develop safety program aligned with corporate safety management program.Review Contractor's HSE method statements to ensure coverage of defined areas and scope of works involved as reference in the preparation of efficient and realistic job hazard analysis and other risk assessment e
valuation.Identifies workplace hazards and proposes actions to prevent accident or mitigate the effects of identified risks;Make immediate investigations of accidents/ incidents and report findings and recommendations to the site manager.Identify training needs and facilitates safety classes;Promotes adherence to and supports all company safety, security and enviro
nmental rules, policies and procedures with a zero-tolerance mentality;Provides technical safety support to critical plant co
nstruction or company activities.Assist the project management team in facilitation of safety committee meetings on a periodic basis. Attend and participate in co
ntractors tool box and sub-committee meetings.Performs other duties and safety related functions as necessary to ensure an accident-free workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree, preferably engineering course15 years of work experience in industrial co
nstruction projects. Power plant project co
nstruction is preferred. Good oral and written communication skills and strong interperso
nal and leadership capabilities.Certifications: Safety Officer 3 (SO3) and Safety Officer 4 (SO4) certification per DOLE Department Order No. 198, December 2018.Training Requirements: Forty-hour Co
