Pollution Control
A. Perform pollution control related services which include processing of government-mandated environmental permits necessary for store to operate. a. ECC b. Permit to Operate for Air. · Air pollution monitoring and analysis. c. Wastewater Discharge Permit · Waste water treatment system · Waste water discharge analysis d. Hazardous Waste Generator ID · Hazardous Waste Management · Solid Waste disposal/ Management
B. Conduct research and studies to provide the most effective and cost-efficient methods to institute eco-friendly stores.
C. Assist the Environment & Sanitary Officer to develop and implement pest control, environment and sanitation related programs, policies and procedures that will: a. Reduce any potential human health hazard or to protect against a significant threat to public safety; b. Prevent loss or damage to restaurant resources, structures or property; c. Prevent pests from spreading within restaurant or beyond the property; d. Provide a safe and decent place to work for restaurant employees and guests; and e. Ensure the adherence of the store to safe work and practices.
D. Develop work processes in collaboration with Area Pollution Control Officers that will ensure the store’s prompt compliance on the following: a. Self-monitoring Reports (SMR) b. Quarterly reports for DENR-EMB and LLDA c. Compliance monitoring Reports (CMR)
E. Review, prepare and maintain technical data reports based on the results of the implemented programs on a monthly basis in coordination with the store’s BEF KMS Manager.
F. Recommend and provide changes on the environment and sanitation related programs that will lead to maintenance of the restaurant resources, structures or property and reduce incurred costs in up-keeping.
2. Pest Control
(Integrated Pest)
A. Employ several techniques such as treatment frequency to reduced pests at stores to acceptable level (e.g. General Pest Control (GPC),
3. Timely response
to inquiries and
concerns
A. Assist the Environment & Sanitary Officer to respond and provide prompt resolutions on the difficult or sensitive store inquiries and complaints regarding safety and sanitation including consulting with DENR and other government regulatory board for possible solution and alternatives prior implementation.
B. Assist the Environment & Sanitary Officer to inspect and regulate sanitary condition of the stores giving priority on those that need immediate attention. C. Coordinate with stores the relayed inquiries and/or concerns in a timely manner.
4. Standards
A. Institute internal safeguards on funds, assets, company properties and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency of facilities and equipment.
B. Develop new and enhance work processes in close coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor to provide corrective actions to recurring problems including internal guest complaints, as well as preventive actions to avoid potential problems from occurring.
C. Monitor compliance of all repair, maintenance, and environmental management projects to all regulatory requirements.
D. Follow and enforce the Employee Code of Conduct
5. Ad Hoc
A. Perform other tasks that may be assigned either individually or as part of a committee.

Prieto, Sr. On March 15,1975, GPI opened the very first Shakey’s store in the Philippines in Makati Avenue; Ayala Center.This first ever Shakey’s branch with its great tasting & crisp pizzas, unique chicken and mojos tandem, flowing cold draft beer, cheerful service, and fun atmosphere, became an instant hit in Manila. This first store paved the way for many more very successful branches that eventually made Shakey’s to be known as the Home of the Original Thin Crust Pizza and The World’s Greatest Pizza and has become a household name that it is today.Over the years, Shakey’s was not spared from economic set – backs and societal change but we have proven that we’re a force to be reckoned with since our rise to success in 2003.
