OVERVIEW:
Respo
nsible for refinery operations during shifts that includes production at required efficiency and standard parameters.This job also performs special tasks assigned by section and/or department manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
Mo
nitors the refinery operation in his/her shift schedule through co
nducting hourly inspection at different process stations and in the co
ntrol room computers to ensure co
nformance to standard parameters.Enforces and recommends corrective actions with other unit managers for process abnormalities such as non-co
nforming products and equipment breakdowns in his/her shift schedule through hourly mo
nitoring of records of breakdown and/or process parameters, endorsing status of operation to reliever and coordinating with servicing departments to minimize occurrence of non-co
nforming products and/or downtime.Assigns substitute personnel/s for absent or on leave workers in his/her shift schedule to ensure smooth refining operation.Regularly coordinates with unit managers of other departments on his/her shift schedule to balance factory operation on matters co
ncerning usage of steam, electrical power co
nsumption and co
ndensate supply most especially during start up, shutdown and/or power interruptions.Reports all major breakdowns that occurred in all refinery stations in his/her shift schedule and correspo
nding corrective actions immediately to section and/or department manager. Records the said breakdown and corrective action in process logbooks and summarizes all records in Daily Operatio
nal Remarks at the end of the day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Chemical EngineerAt least 3 years of related work experience as supervisor or management trainee in a sugar refinery or with knowledge on sugar processing operations
