OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated Senior Geologist Mine Geology who will is responsible for several key direct reports coupled with a team of people to drive outcomes and achieve strategic objectives. This includes responsibilities with a focus on safety, culture, revenue, and geology services including structural geology, grade control and reconciliation, mineral resource estimation, definition, and development. Reporting to the Technical Services Geology Superintendent.

about the role
Undertake geological mapping, geochemical sampling, trenching, core logging, drill programs, and any other fieldwork as required;Co
nduct and facilitate the implementation and completion of exploration programs;Provide significant input into the preparation and implementation of exploration programs and budgets for projects;Supervise exploration field perso
nnel and allocate day-to-day duties and responsibilities;Implement drilling programs, geophysical programs, geochemical programs, and exploration programs;Coordinate drilling activities to contractor;Compile exploration information for areas of interest and/or exploration activity into comprehensive weekly, mo
nthly and annual reports;Utilise the exploration databa
se and GIS software to capture and manipulate exploration field data and drilling information; andPrepare procedures for the safe and effective co
nduct of exploration activities.

Tertiary Geology qualification or equivalent;5 years of industry experience in mineral exploration;Proficient in 3D software; Preferred software packages: Minesight, Leapfrog, acQuire, and Surpac;Proficient in QAQC, drill planning, and geostatistical practices and analysis;Drive for co
