Objectives:

To assist the company in accomplishing its objectives thru the efficient completion of quality control tasks. Responsible for day-to-day quality control, sample submission, testing and retention, execution of stability studies and product validations, test methods verification/transfer/validation, internal laboratory management, coordination with accredited third-party laboratories, and other related tasks.

The QC Analyst will report to the QAQC Manager (or their deputy) and works in the Quality Department alongside the Quality Assurance Analyst and the Quality Control Inspector. Through the monitoring and advancement of our quality and feed safety programs, daily process checks, the implementation of short and long-term projects, and continuous improvement, the QC Analyst will ensure the integrity of each manufactured goods batch produced, so that our customers can always enjoy our products with full confidence and satisfaction. The role is intended to be an all-round QC role, responsible for all relevant quality control tasks, which can be achieved thru personal development and training.

Responsibilities:

a. Key areas of accountability/responsibility

Complete timely routine analytical works in the QC laboratory for intermediate and finished products according to established test methods.Review batch records and in-process quality control activities, from raw materials (including 3rd Party) acceptance to final product release to customers. Coordinate sampling and testing activities with in-house and external labs.Track and monitor non-conforming products from product recalls, product returns, rejection from production, and rejection from QA/QC Inspection, etc. Ensure proper disposition and actions are applied in a timely manner.Ensure compliance of the internal laboratory with local regulations and laboratory SOP.Calibrate and maintain instruments and test equipment according to operating manuals and established SOPs to ensure reliability and repeatability of analytical test resultsReview and approve new/updated specifications and BOM revisionsExecute analytical tests (contaminants, stability, process validations) of finished products and raw materials based on established local and customer requirements.Manage third-party laboratories in cases where the in-house laboratory is not capable to conduct the required analysis.Overall in charge of laboratory investigations, as well as deviations and actions related to QC. laboratory.Track and monitor closely the relevant QC KPIs of the departmentMonitors inventory of laboratory chemicals, standards, glassware, and other consumables and make sure sufficient stock is maintainedIn charge of proficiency tests of the internal laboratoryManages laboratory test request of other functions and ensure it is delivered on the agreed timeline.

Knowledge and educational level

Licensed chemist with at least 3-5 years of Quality Control roles experience in a similar industryHigh level of analytical and organizational skills, including written and verbal communication, creative problem solving, and commitment to company goals including high attention to detail.Knowledge and experience with ISO 17025, ISO9001:2015, FAMI-QS, GMP, HACCP, or equivalent.

Required level of experience

At least 3 years of working experience in the food/feed industry in QC or in a testing laboratory set-upKnowledge and practical experience with Chemical laboratory handling HPLC/UPLC, AAS, ICP, Spectrophotometer, NIR, and other instrumentationGood Microsoft Office skillsExcellent organizational skillsExperience with SAP preferredExperience in problem-solving and decision-making on quality and technical issuesHave a pro-active “can do” mindset, attitude, and behaviorTeam player
