Sr. Copywriter

Job Summary

The Sr. Copywriter at Summit Media’s Client Solutions & Delivery Team will work with other creatives and will be responsible for ideating, writing and publishing copy meant for social media, websites, articles and PR, ad materials and other channels within the Summit Media network or on our client’s own properties.

Primary Responsibilities

Ideate and write creative concepts and copy in response to briefs from clients, account managers, or other internal stakeholdersDevelop and pitch content slants and, once approved, produce the copy, keeping in mind the brand’s character, voice and other branding guidelinesActively participate in brainstorming sessions for assigned campaign pitchesWork closely with artists to translate your creative concepts and copy into powerful visualsCollaborate with other relevant partner teams to complete one’s assigned deliverablesManage all assigned requirements through to completion and closing, working with both in-house resources and freelancersActively work with direct superior and senior leadership to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of all creative campaigns and projectsOther duties assigned by the direct supervisor

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree holder with relevant experience in an advertising/marketing agencyHas an experience of at least 5 years in an agency set-up is an advantageExpertise in creating presentations using Powerpoint, Google Slides or Canva would be an advantageProficiency with basic Office software - Powerpoint, Word, Excel - or equivalent, a mustApplicants with less experience will be considered for a Copywriter roleMust possess the following soft skills:Self-starter, able to grasp instructions, ask questions, and take ownershipHas a can-do spirit, with the ability to suggest solutions in the face of hurdles and challengesAttention to detail, highly organized, capable of working on multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong verbal and written communication skillsCurious, inquisitive, analyticalComfortable with ambiguityAble to work with teams and independentlyDesire for self-improvement and upgrading of one’s skill sets
