Job Description

Job Purpose:

Overall accountability to implement and oversee the ERM framework in Manila. Responsible for participating in the implementation, communication, and maintenance of a globally focused, comprehensive risk management program. Lead the risk objectives of the risk strategic direction. Responsible for advising and managing risk activities and for providing risk expertise, analysis, guidance, and consultation on a broad array of business initiatives. All under the direction of the SCBU CRO and in partnership with the Head of PGS risk management.

Job Description:

PGS Manila risk management framework and strategy

Accountable for partnering with the PGS (Principal Global Services) head of risk management and Manila functions to implement, execute and oversee the risk management framework to identify, assess, monitor, manage and report all applicable risks, such as Reputational, Strategic, Financial and Operational Risks, inclusive of Technology, Business Process, Compliance, etc.Under the oversight of the SCBU CRO (Service Center Business Units Chief Risk Officer) and in collaboration with the Head of PGS Risk Management, partner with PGS Manila business leaders to develop and execute the risk mitigation strategies in alignment with the PGS risk management frameworkCollaborate to build priorities and consensus around Manila risk management approach, in alignment the SCBU CRO, Head of PGS Risk Management and business leaders

Risk identification, assessment, control, and reporting

Support and consult with Manila functions to devise a mechanism for identification, tracking, reporting and escalation, as appropriate, of all risks at various levelsResponsible for partnering with Manila functions on the design and effectiveness of their controls to manage all applicable risks, prioritizing by risk levelFacilitate the completion of risk assessments (e.g., RCSA, process risk assessment, analyze strategic risks, scenario, situational), prioritizing by risk levelsMonitor to oversee the functions mitigation of risks impacting Manila, e.g., financial, competition, local regulatory needs, social disruptions etc.Aggregate, assess and report all risks, metrics, risk analysis/assessment results and risk mitigation actions to the SCBU CRO and Head of PGS Risk Management, partner to provide to PGS leaders

Leadership

Understand business operations to better consult on risk managementBuild and sustain relationships with all levels of leadershipLead Manila risk committeeCollaborates with Head of PGS Risk Management for broader PGS risk direction, analysis, aggregation assessment, and reportingWork closely with PGS teams (BISO, Process Excellence, compliance, and legal teams) to identify emerging risks and build consensus around mitigation approachConsult on risks within Manila management meetings, strategy forums, etc.Conduct awareness, education sessions within organization

Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of direct risk management experience (includes legal, compliance, audit, control function, risk), including identifying, controlling, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on strategic, financial, and operational risksMust possess critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.Direct experience in implementing and executing risk management frameworks and/or programsDirect experience in financial services and in IT/ITeS organizations is desiredExtensive experience building a risk programStrong critical thinking, strategic and influencing skills to know how to identify, prioritize and gain buy-in for action on risks (by risk level, business priorities, level of effort, risk appetite, risk/reward).Proven skills to take things from ‘strategy to execution’Strong relationship building skills with all levels of leadersEffective communication skills and ability to influence leadership groupsAbility to understand business issues, strategies, priorities and compare risk vs. rewards
