Senior Accountant

EMAPTA is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team.

·      Control the General Ledger accounts ensuring accurate posting daily through: Daily Bank account reconciliation,

•        Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable and Intercompany accounts,

•        Maintenance of the fixed asset registers and depreciation schedule

Oversee month end close through:

•        Preparation and posting of the monthly journals, accruals , lease schedules, fixed assets and depreciation schedules, Preparation of monthly Instalment Activity Statements (IAS’),

•        Preparation of annual and long service leave provisions and

·      prepayment schedules,

•        Reporting consolidated results at a group level with narratives

•        Curious and analytical mind with attention to detail

•        Ability to write clear and concise narratives, articulate verbal communication

•        Assist in process improvement and systems enhancement

·      Initiatives proactively identifying new initiatives

·      Ability to deal with multi-currency entities, e.g. USD, AUD, etc

·      Driven with an appetite for continuous learning and never settling

Qualifications:

•        A CPA qualified a plus

•        Knowledge of Australian Accounting a plus

•        Knowledge of Netsuite accounting software although not necessary

•        Exposure to SOX operating environment,.

•        An understanding of US Taxation environment a plus

•        High attention to detail with strong focus on compliance autonomous, self-directed approach and strong sense of ethics
