The Statistics and Research Division prepares and publishes the a) Annual Report of the Insurance Commission; b) 5-Year Key Statistical Data of the insurance and pre-need industries; c) Rankings of Insurance Companies according to such categories as Assets, Networth, Paid-Up Capital, Investments at Cost, Premium Income, Net Premiums Written, Premiums Earned, Gross Premiums Written as well as Premiums Produced and Commissions Earned by insurance and reinsurance brokers; and d) Quarterly Report on the Performance of the Insurance Industry covering the Financial Condition, Summary of Operations, Investments at Cost and Business Done.
It also prepares the a) ASEAN Unified Forms of Statistics (AUFS) for submission to the ASEAN Secretariat in preparation for the ASEAN Insurance Regulators’ Meeting, and b) Reports for submission to the Department of Finance (DOF), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Philippine Statistical Authority (PSA) and other government agencies.
