JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator for The Hunger Project (THP) should be able to contribute to the achievement of the set goals and objectives of the project. Specifically, the Coordinator will lead the THP secretariat. He/She will ensure the implementation and completion of THP activities on time within budget and scope. The activities include coordination with THP members and other partners of the consortium (i.e. NGA’s, CS’s and LGUs) that may be identified by THP. Moreover, he/she will work closely with the CIP, particularly the Unit Manager and the THP-assigned lead in implementing the activities and responding to various issues and challenges. He/She will also network with relevant agencies and partners for synergy and complementation in terms of project implementation, strategies and overall direction of THP, and explore opportunities to add value to the program interventions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the THP Secretariat team and supervise the work of the team members’ specific assignments for the consortium.Develop workplans to guide the activities of the Secretariat on an annual basis.Ensure that the THP agendas and targets are achieved.Lead the resource mobilization efforts to sustain the Secretariat and to fund projects.Work to ensure effective collaboration between THP members, government, academe and other relevant groups.Provide information briefings and presentations to THP members relative to the various activities that will be undertaken by the Alliance.Co
nvene monthly/quarterly meetings of THP (Board, Execom, MANCOM and the 4 committees).Lead the THP secretariat in organizing events and planning sessions for THP Represent the THP and the Secretariat during various meetings and other events that require the presence of THP.Provide regular reports of the progress and outcomes of the various meetings and other activities co
nducted to the CIP manager.Undertake research works relative to the directions of THP.
