The role is responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets for the managed brand. This includes assortment planning, merchandising strategies and execution, vendor management, open-to-buy monitoring, pricing, inventory management, and merchandise analysis.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of the brands OTB and receipt conciliationInventory managementVendor in-season and end-of-season managementData integrity of Article Creation and Merchandise HierarchyDevelop a merchandising strategy, including product selection, to maximize sales, margin and profitability targets for brandsTranslate fashion trends into appropriate assortments for the target customerManage the business in season through in-season analysis and tactical adjustments Manage the timely placement and maintenance of purchase ordersManage proper allocation and replenishment to the different channelsRecommend pricing and markdown strategiesPartner with planning on analysis and assortment planning to achieve financial plansevaluate the open-to-buy, markdowns and inventory levels for specific brandsMonitor inventory productivity Participate in line reviews to ensure brand cohesiveness and competitive assortmentsMonitor the competition and customer by market Train and develops direct reportContribute to positive morale in the department and organizationProvides accurate and proper merchandise reports to cross-functional teamsEnsures open lines of communication with cross-functional team and business partnersMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in business/management or fashion related disciplineMinimum 3 years buying or brand experience with existing relationships within the marketProven track record of success and ability to drive a businessProven ability to create product assortments to meet customer needsStrong business and financial analysis skillsStrong retail math acumenKeen fashion sense and trend forecasting abilityExcellent communication, negotiation and problem solving skillsDemonstrated managerial and leadership abilitiesWillingness to travel domestically and internationally when requiredMust attend seminars and training to broaden and strengthen knowledge
