Job Description

The primary function of a Sales Executive is to generate revenue by bringing in new customers and to increase the market share and profitability of his/her given portfolio through relationship management of the Bank and Non-Bank Partners, Strategic and SME merchants. The role involves

a) Interaction and management with merchants;

b) Cultivating existing relationships;

c) Overseeing and monitoring of merchant accounts allocated to him/her

d) actively monitoring of the services and development of relationships with merchants

e) maximizing new business and cross selling opportunities;

f) engagement of referral partners such as banks, Ecomm integrators and other partners. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

To visit Partner offices/branches or liaise with Partner contact on a regular basis to encourage them to refer potential customer to BPI-Global Payments.To convert and sign up newly referred accounts on a monthly basis to deliver the assigned business targets.To drive sales activities from existing and new accounts with end result favoring Global PaymentsTo identify customers and markets with sound revenue potentials with or without the contribution of the PartnerTo conduct effective negotiations with customers – merchants and even with Partners, for competitive and sustainable pricing/terms for the businessTo ensure all account opening requirements and processes comply with business requirementsTo manage, build and develop merchant relationships. To ensure that these relationships are profitable to the businessTo continuously sign up new accounts on a monthly basis to deliver the assigned business targetsTo drive sales activities from existing and new accounts with end result favoring Global PaymentsTo identify customers and markets with sound revenue potentialsTo conduct effective negotiations with customers for competitive and sustainable pricing/terms for the businessTo ensure all account opening requirements and processes comply with business requirementsTo manage, build and develop merchant relationships. To ensure that these relationships are profitable to the businessTo minimize merchant attritionTo help ensure operational efficiency and the proper delivery of services by vendors/security team, e.g., POS terminal installation & servicing, card acceptance training & fraud preventionTo collaborate with management on new product development, sales support activities and new revenue opportunitiesTo effectively forecast potential sales & revenue from new and existing markets and to identify the required marketing activities to achieve the sales & revenue forecastTo participate in any necessary sales meetings and training activitiesTo develop one’s knowledge of competitors’ activities, industry standards, market trends, technology, systems, and other relevant informationMonitor sales and profitability for Strategic and SME merchants to maximize business and specifically identify cross sell opportunities to increase revenueMonitor competitor activity within the assigned portfolio and identify threats and possible remedial actions to avert attritionMaintain close personal contact and build rapport with management personnel of merchants that may potentially develop as key accounts through business growth and development of new income streamsStrategic visits to merchants that are potentially targeted by competitorsMonitor and if necessary, address merchant complaints and requirements whether on head office or outlet levelMaintain close relationships with other Farmer Managers to leverage their account relationshipsDevelop and execute an Account Development Plan to maximize sales and profitability of their given portfolioLiaise merchant requirements through the SATs and ensure internal and external service providers comply with agreed SLA’s in order to deliver excellent customer service to the merchant basePerform other duties and responsibilities related to this role, as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Tertiary educated preferred. Graduate from Business, Management , Engineering or Marketing discipline will be an assetMinimum three years sales experience in the financial services or fast moving consumer goods industry with proven results.5 years of experience in sales and customer service preferably in credit card related businessesPartner/Sales Channel management experience is an advantageExcellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with external customersEntrepreneurial character, self-starter, capable of developing & executing an effective sales strategySelf-motivated & adaptable to changing conditions in the work placeMature and independent, able to work well with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to establish workload prioritiesHigh achiever - able to develop local market for Global productsPermanent residence in Cagayan De Oro, Mindanao Region, Philippines will be considered Sales experience in credit card business is a plusAble to plan, organize and make effective sales presentationsAbility to conduct training for external customers, including partner channelsHe/she should be willing and eager to work closely with the customers to identify and develop their payment processing capabilities, leading to early identification of opportunities for GP and better service for customersMature and independent, able to work well with minimal supervisionExcellent organization, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with merchantsHe/she should have a proven record in customer facing service conditions and have dealt with demanding and difficult customersVery good English and Filipino communication skills
