Their aim is to become a “values driven organisation”.P ASSION to drive client successR ESPECT for differences that make our team strongI NTEGRITY to be objective and independentD ISCIPLINE in process, innovation and commitmentE XCELLENCE quest for the bestRole StatementThe role of the position is to assist and support the services provided to a portfolio of clients (as instructed by supervisors) within the Audit Division and develop a level of technical competence that enables the production of quality work to meet client needs.The Accountant must ensure that the PRIDE values are incorporated into their own work culture so that these values become part of their working life – demonstrating ‘the way we do business around here’.The Accountant must act professionally at all times and treat clients, prospects, referral sources and colleagues, as they would want to be treated.The candidate must display leadership capabilities as it is expected that the candidate will commence to supervise work performed by the existing Makati team and report to the Bentleys Perth staff on performance and productivity of the Makati teamRole Activities:Achieve the productive hours budget;Complete work as requested by more senior staff members;Follow up and clear queries relating to personal work sections completed;From time to time the accountant will be required to complete jobs which will involve the following responsibilities:Liaise with the manager over timing of audit visits;Plan and prepare audit approach through consultation with the client, partner and when required, the manager;Complete the audit work as planned;Discuss audit issues with manager/partner and liaise with client on these issues;Finalise the audit file for partner review;Clear all partner/manager review points;Prepare draft correspondence on issues pertaining to individual audits;Monitor audit costs by reference to budgeted fees for individual audits; andPrepare fees for work completed.Job Specification:Effective communication – clearly maintains a professional and open communication style with managers, peers and takes responsibility for communication through their area of control;Interpersonal skills – maintains a positive attitude and develops cooperative working relationships with others, whilst considering the needs of others;Client service – provides quality client service to both external and internal clients;Problem solving / decision making – begins to develop timely and effective decision making skills and awareness of the impact of decisions on the team, division and firm;Professional / technical skills – displays the knowledge and ability to use processes, practices, techniques and tools within their area of responsibility and updates when necessary;Planning and organising – beginning to demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks by planning ahead and anticipating needs for which they are responsible, using a systematic and time management focused approach;Client satisfaction – demonstrates effective working relationships with clients and other team members and displays a genuine interest in client work, providing timely and effective responses to clients;Professional competence and technical development – undertakes delegated tasks with confidence and has a demonstrated ability to indicate when tasks run over budget or exceed time constraints.
