JOB SUMMARY
Promote and sell ready-mixed concrete and concrete-related products to customers, including general contractors, highway contractors, concrete contractors, poured-wall contractors, commercial and residential contractors, and other customers who require ready-mix concrete products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Promote and sell ready-mixed concrete and all building related materials.
• Maintain customer data base and convert the leads into sales
• Develop a reasonable but aggressive sales forecast for customers that will enable the company to reach its profit goals.
• Identify, develop and maintain new and existing customers.
• evaluate bid opportunities to determine the most cost-effective quotation and proposal
• Work closely with Production Department to ensure customer volume demands can be met in a cost effective and timely fashion.
• Work closely with Quality Control Department to determine the most cost-effective way to meet product specifications.
• Handle customer questions, issues and concerns and seek to resolve in the most cost effective and timely way possible.
• Prepares timely and accurate reports as needed (including backlog and expenses).
• Attend regular sales meetings to review upcoming projects and status of ongoing projects.
• Communicate with Production Department on a timely basis of changes to quantities or delivery schedules.
• Generate sales and achieve monthly sales targets
• Participate in local, state and national professional and trade organizations.
• Visits project sites regularly to receive customer feedback and ensure customer needs are being met.
• Assist with Accounting Department, as necessary, for his/her customers that are behind on paying invoices.
