Job Purpose: To provide direct supervision to cashiers in making financial transactions and performing record-keeping tasks; To ensure timely and accurate collection of cash from sales operations; To implement local policies and procedures in cashiering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervises cashiering counter operations
• Monitors and corrects errors made by counter personnel – cashiers, checkers, and baggers, redemption clerk, porter
• Settles / resolves customer complaints
• Prepares and submits daily and monthly reports (Senior Citizen, Packaging Consumption, wrong price, 0% interest credit card transactions), and other special reports requested by operations
• Prepares incident reports, observation memo
• Prepares billing of POS and telephone lines used in cashiering operations
Continually updates the cashiering officer for issues or concerns that require their attention
• Deals with customers and employees from different departments
• Coordinates with other departments and business unit heads for cashiering related concerns
• Operates various office applications
• Operates point-of-sale software and performs various POS transactions (WinDSS, Tensai)
• Performs basic troubleshooting of POS errors (WinDSS, Tensai)
