EMAPTA is looking for a Senior Accountant to support our US based client, StoneCalibre.Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, StoneCalibre is a privately funded investment firm specializing in the acquisition of lower middle market companies. Founded by Brian Wall, previously a long-term Partner at Platinum Equity, StoneCalibre is focused on making investments in both special situations and quality long-term capital investment opportunities.Position Summary: Applies advanced, specialized knowledge of accounting principles, methods and techniques to perform accounting functions and analyses in areas of financial analysis, cost accounting and general accounting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.Compiles and analyzes complex accounting information to provide management with accounting information necessary to make critical business decisions.Reconciles and balances subledgers to the general ledger.Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and other items pertinent to operation of business.Designs, develops and implements systems and procedures to meet future business needs or regulatory requirements and coordinates implementation efforts across the various businesses.When needed, will flex time to ensure timely invoicing to customer and proper revenue recognition.Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information. This includes, but not limited to, customer accounts receivable and accounts payable.Ensure proper internal controls and established and maintained in order to safeguard assets and ensure proper financial statement reporting.Investigates problems with vendors or customer transactions.Monitors intercompany loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that both loans and trade payables/receivables balances.Assists with audits, banking and treasury, and year end processes.Performs other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller.
