The Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The PSE collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
Responsibilities:
· Acts as the subject matter expert for technology solutions assigned
· Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm
· Secures input from all necessary solutions stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
· Attend to customer requests for information on RFIs and RFPs completion;
· Demonstrate to leverage best practices and offer insight into client business and industry verticals;
· Maintain credibility through best practices knowledge in Sales Enablement space;
· Qualify and help close sales opportunities;
· Help Maintain account plan’s technical portions;
· Ensure successful pilot projects, solution presentation and installations;
· Determine, resolve, and communicate technical and business presales issues to presales management;
· Install and maintain demos and software on presales equipment;
· Engage in product training to maintain high product knowledge;
· Develop job related expertise and communication skills.
Qualifications:
· Knowledgeable of datacenter infrastructure, servers, network, virtualization, Operating system and Storage is a plus
· Knowledgeable on data protection solutions is a plus
· knowledge in Cloud computing solutions such as AWS , Azure, GCP is a plus ;
· experience in dealing with customer facing activities and providing end to end solutions to clients
· Familiarity and experience with cloud computing architecture is a plus;
· Excellent Customer Service Skills -- Building Positive Relationships and;
· Proficient in Engaging w/ Customers to Identify their needs;
· Demonstrates Business Communication skills;
· Able to Engage in A Consultative Type Of Conversation with Clients/Customers;
· Any certifications is not a requirement but a plus;
· At least 4 years of related working experience in working the IT field
· Graduate of BS IT/Computer Science or related courses.
