Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Category Strategy Manager. The Category Strategy Manager is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of a set of brands for the targeted channels. This includes but not limited to developing and monitoring of the Category Plans anchored on shopper insights to ensure business growth achievements. Collaboratively engages with Marketing and Channel Strategy to ensure that plans are aligned to equity and channel dynamics. The Category Sales Manager represents the Sales Team in category discussions within the Forecasting meeting.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

Strategy and Program Creation

Develops the category sales strategies (merchandising, distribution, promotions, pricing) plans and tactics based on the Annual Company Business Plan and Brand PlansRegularly reviews category performance, internal and external data, research and recommends appropriate intervention to address opportunities identified

New Product Launch and Management

Lead in the collaborative development and assessment of the NPD Channel plan together with Brand, Channel Strategy and Field SalesReview and confirm ISQs in partnership with the TSMLeads in the NPI evaluation at specified periods

Forecasting

Provides the sales perspective in forecasting meetings to incorporate trade and operational dynamicsAnalyzes sales trends, historical performance, causals and converts it into actual forecastReviews current forecast and recommends adjustment as needed

 What are the Qualifications?

At least 5 years experience in a management function in both sales and marketing fieldsCollege graduate of Business Management, Marketing, Engineering or the equivalentProven success/track record in key accounts or gen tradeExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills
