JOB SUMMARYThe Junior Accountant will support the work of the General Ledger team. The role may be assigned specific finance projects or initiatives and assist in the monthly reporting requirements of the team. To develop holistic understanding of financial reporting and close processes, the role may be assigned to various processes within FSSC. This will involve coordination with local finance on outstanding variances and makes the appropriate action to resolve it.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESMonthly, Quarterly and Annual Requirements:Prepares journal entriesPrepares account reconciliations based on set timelineAssist the Senior Accountant in checking the closing transactions of assigned entitiesAssist the local business unit in preparing the annual budget and preliminary quarterly P&L Estimate consolidation. Perform preliminary checks on the net income and balance sheetValidate the details of the annual budget and quarterly estimate details (Volume, Sales, Cost of Sales, IT, Selling & Marketing) provided by the entitiesUpdate and publish Estimate and Actual FS Reports for variance / deviation analysisGather, prepare and analyze financial information and reports as may be requested by business usersMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected varianceGather information for the monthly BSC such as feedback received from customers and track timeliness of the delivery of reporting requirementsConduct self evaluation based on the PLP process.Support external audit requirements by providing detailed schedules and analyses required by the auditors and local finance. Attend to any audit inquiries as may be required in the processOther related duties which may be assigned by immediate superiorJOB SPECIFICATIonSMust Have:Obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Commerce, preferably CPAMinimum 1 year of previous work experience in a similar position.An experience with AX Dynamics AP / AR / GL ModuleExperience in SOX complianceAdvanced skills in the use of MS Office application e.g. Excel Spreadsheets and Google applicationsExcellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done.Shifting schedules required e.g. Europe time as neededGood oral and written communication skills
