Key role & Objectives
A key part of this role is to manage the workflow for the Jaquillard Minns team in the Manila office. This includes efficient and appropriate allocation of resources and ensuring staff training requirements are met. It is also to make sure all administrative and accounting tasks are performed in a timely, efficient and professional manner, to ensure the overall smooth operation of the administrative and accounting functions within the Manila office.
The role is a dynamic one and the requirements of the position will vary depending on our client and internal business demands.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing the workflow of the JaquillardMinns - Manila, including:
Acting as the key point of co
ntact with the Adelaide office with respect to incoming work allocation;
• Managing allocation of work amongst the Accountants in Manila taking into account existing priorities, skills, turnaround expectations and client expectations;
• Reporting on workflow status and capacity on a weekly basis.• Training and developing 2nd tier of JM – Manila
• Ensuring the Accounting staff are appropriately trained to fulfil their responsibilities;
• Working directly with the Business Services Team in Adelaide as required in relation to client work once the work has been allocated;
• Preparation of financial reports in Xero for Australian clients, including entering trial balances into Xero, reconciling accounts and preparing work papers;
• Preparation of regular management reports for clients from various industries including professional services, property development, engineering, retail etc.
• Preparation of income tax returns for Australian clients, including individuals, trusts, partnerships and companies;
• Completing other general accounting or taxation related tasks as is required;
• Adherence to JaquillardMinns policies and procedures, including assistance with the ongoing improvement and development of our policies and procedures;
• Attend regular trainings, including tax, accounting and relevant software;• Develop and suggest processing improvements;
• Immediate recording of all employment time in the time management software and timely raising of client invoices as directed by the Team Leader or the team in Adelaide as required;
• Various other adhoc duties as required by the firm, including administrative tasks;

Pre-requisite Knowledge/Experience
• A Graduate of Accountancy and/or a Certified Public Accountant
• Experience in managing and leading a team
• Proficiency with the use of mainstream windows based software packages (ie Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
• IT literacy
• Excellent English communication skills
• Excellent work ethic and organization skills
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills
• At least 5 years previous experience in management reporting, general accounting or bookkeeping
• Exposure to Australian tax law
• Experience in using accounting software such as Xero and MYOB
• Experience in the performance of office administrative tasks
• Experience in client service or business process
