The documentation Officer reports directly to the Manning Manager / EVP.
He or she will work closely with the Manning Officer, HR Officer for Manning, and Liaison Officer and as such should be able to work well in a team and with minimal supervision.
The documentation Officer is primarily responsible for:
Ensuring that crew members have complied with PEME requirements.The completeness and accuracy of crew docu
ments, and preparing crew binders for dispatch to vessel.Preparing co
ntracts with the POEA , and preparing OFW information sheet.Preparing and applying for Flag State licenses.Updat
e and maintain accuracy of information in the Perso
nnel Data System.Coordinate with Principals regarding accreditation, and enrollment of new vessels.Prepare for and handle the application for Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
He or she will also:
Coordinate with the crew regarding lacking docu
ments, answer crew queries regarding their docu
ments, and provide instructions on processing of docu
ments.Prepare Certificates of Sea Service and other requirements for processing and renewal of crew docu
ments.Receive and record packages to be sent to o
nboard crew.Prepare clearance forms and docu
ments for withdrawal of employment of crew.Handle other tasks in relation to abovementio
ned duties from time to time.
Previous experience as a documentation Officer for manning agencies is required.
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree.Must possess good English communication skills.
