Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for all areas relating to Finance including Insurer Accounting, Payroll, Accounting, Reporting and Analysis, Budgeting and Cashflow management.Manage and build current Finance team into a great Finance function.The role will report to the Financial Controller in Australia.Responsibilities-Accounting for Insurance Premiums. This includes:Insurer payments and attending to insurer queriesClient refundsSubagents paymentsStamp duty returns and paymentsTrust Account bank reconciliationTax returns for Overseas InsurersAny CBS Accounting queries-Oversee and manage the payroll function with the current Senior Accountant.Ensure accurate record keeping of all supporting documentation for payrollEmployee Pays are processed accurately and by the required deadlinesReview accuracy of incentives calculations and paymentsAll statutory returns are lodged/paid by the required deadline (this includes superannuation, payroll tax, workcover, IAS and PAYG)Payroll incluging leave provisions reconciled monthly-Ensure accuracy of all General Ledger tasks performed by the current offshore team:Oversee GL maintenance for all consolidated entities. This includes transaction processing and recurring routine GL journals as required.Sign off on bank account reconciliation (including term deposits) for all companies within the GroupSign off on Balance-Sheet reconciliations (prepayments, accruals, debtors, creditors, sundry and intercompany accounts).Review Broking Balance Sheet and monthly CBS journalsReview and sign off on Fixed Asset Register (for both Accounting and Tax) and depreciation expenseComplete Lease schedules per AASB16Ensure Accounting Standards are appropriately applied.-Complete monthly consolidated financial reports with variance analysis for management and submission to parent company-Complete monthly P&L at a department level and provide insights and analysis-Complete Annual Budget and rolling monthly ForecastingManage statutory audits and ensure yearend deadlines are metRespond to and work with external auditors to complete audit successfully at year end and other times during the year.-Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable function-Effective Cashflow Forecasting, Analysis and Insights-Respond to queries from the FC/CEO regarding financial results, reporting requests and the like-documenting robust processes and procedures for all part of the -Finance Function-Developing key controls and checklist and proper governance around all facets of the Finance function-Adhoc reports and tasks as required.Technical/Educational QualificationsBachelors degree in Finance or AccountingCPA, CFA or MBA degree holderKnowledge and experience in AU AccountingExperience in consolidation accountingHigh level of Proficiency in Excel (Modelling and Analytics)Prior Experience/SkillsMore than 5 years’ experience in Management / Senior Management revolving around Finance/Accounting experience with proven leadership and management experience in Finance and Controlling.Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skillsExcellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsAustralian experience and familiar with Australian Accounting Standards (equivalent to International Financial reporting Standards)Here are the reasons why you should join Intogreat:Competitive Salary PackageHMO on day 1 w/ free dependentsGroup Life InsurancePaid LeavesBereavement assistanceAbove market annual appraisalWork-life balance and high staff engagement cultureLong-term development plan programFree training coursesCultural trainingEmerging leaders’ programHigh-end IT devicesEmployee awards and events
