ACE Shared Services, Inc. is looking for a GL Team Lead to maintain the general ledger accounts and adjustments of assigned companies to ensure accuracy and integrity of books of accounts and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Timely closing of books and preparation of periodic financial statements and analyses for management and consolidation requirements, on a monthly
basis.
· Compliance to all other filing and payments and/or submission of reporting requirements Lenders, to LGUs, BIR, SEC, BSP, ERC, DOE, SBMA and other government regulatory bodies.
· Preparation of documents, schedules, reconciliations requested during audit of the following:
· SGV – annual statutory audit and special review engagements
· Department of Energy – audit of benefit to host community
· All other tasks that may be assigned.
· Reviews and posts journal entries proposed by the General Accountants
· Supports GL Manager in preparing/ revising/ reviewing work allocation for the equal distribution of tasks and responsibilities among general accountants.
· Initially reviews monthly financial reports to include but is not limited to general purpose financial statements and variance analysis.
· Supports GL Manager to respond to CFO queries/clarifications on the monthly financial statements or other accounting related inquiries.
· Supports GL Manager in ensuring timely tax filing, payment and compliance in tax audit requirements.
· Initially reviews tax returns and ensure timely filing.
· Act as point person during the conduct of statutory audit by the external auditors and ensures the timely completion and approval of the Company’s annual audited financial statements.
· Supports initiatives on the development or enhancement of internal controls, policies and procedures relating to financial management and accounting.
· Participates in enhancements, troubleshooting and testing of the Company’s ERP system (SAP), specifically on issues related to financial accounting and controlling, fixed asset and materials management modules.
· Acts as SAP master data custodian for SAP FICO (i.e., general ledger, cost and profit center, customer, vendor, fixed asset).
Job Requirements:
· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
· Must be a CPA
· Preferably at least 5 years of relevant accounting and audit work experience; knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), knowledge of taxation and financial reporting
· Experience in power industry (local and international markets) and/or holding company structure is a plus
· Strong background in general accounting and financial reporting standards
· Strong organizational, analytical and written/verbal communication
skills
· Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner
· Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives
· Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
· Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel
· Must be knowledgeable in SAP ECC6 and SAP Hana
