The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and with a team to support the Asia-Pacific and Middle East & Africa regional responsibilities as assigned in support of the regional Assistant Controller.
Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliations, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. This individual will ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other local accounting regulations.
Responsibilities of this role also include but not limited to:
· Monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations and ensure that all accounts are properly reconciled and supported;
· Cash management accounting;
· Manual adjusting journal entries;
· Understand the business and assure proper accounting to reflect the results of the business;
· Ensures internal coordination with regional Finance Team;
· Assist in statutory audits and tax compliance;
Areas of Expertise & Special Skills:
· Bachelor's Degree in General Accounting, Finance, or equivalent with 2+ related experience or equivalent combination.
· General understanding of accounting concepts and procedures.
· 2+ years of experience in handling complex balance sheet accounts reconciliation, analysis of balance sheet and profit & loss, and other accounting duties in an accounting environment.
· Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy individual workload to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
· Excellent communication skills; demonstrated professional, tactful problem-solving skills with personal presence to interface with corporate decision makers.
· Ability to compile, analyze and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making
· Proficient in MS Excel required; MS Word experiences a plus.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other stakeholders.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Handle occasional stressful situations with ease. Able to meet deadlines and act with sense of urgency.
· Experience using Oracle ERP or other accounting systems.
· Must have reasonable proficiency in Mandarin , spoken and written.
