Duties and Responsibilities
Function under the direction of the Section Head of Compliance and Data Privacy and the Head of Legal Department to ensure Malayan’s privacy activities are co
nsistent with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and relevant laws and that the Malayan remains compliant with all compliance and regulatory laws. Assist with mo
nitoring of Malayan departments to ensure compliance with DPA and other compliance and regulatory laws.Work with departments to identify privacy gaps and deficiencies and/or how to comply with all relevant regulatory laws.Participate in the development of appropriate work flows and corrective actions to address identified gaps and deficiencies.Assist in the development of privacy training programs. nitor the effectiveness of employee privacy training programs.Participate in mo
nitoring employees’ compliance with required privacy training.Co
nduct periodic mo
nitoring reviews to identify deficiencies in the adherence to privacy policies and procedures, and work with departments to develop appropriate action plans to mitigate deficiencies.Assist the Data Protection Officer with the management of privacy disputes and complaint investigations. Assess the effectiveness of the privacy compliance program, and make revisions, as necessary.Assist in the establishment and maintenance of administrative record keeping requirements.Provide technical assistance and work to develop department-level privacy policies and procedures, as needed, to validate that departmental processes minimize risk.Work with applicable departments to determine the level of access required for specific positions and employees.Investigate Privacy complaints and develop findings and corrective actions plans.Provide recommendations to the Data Protection Officer.Keep all docu
ments pertaining to Data Privacy and ComplianceAssist in managing Data Sharing Agreements, Outsourcing/Sub-co
ntracting Agreements, and participates in the third-party risk assessment process.Assist departments in timely reports of Privacy complaints received from work force membersAssist with timely reports in respo
